As most of you know, I was a fan of One Direction. I’ve followed the careers of a few of the members and have enjoyed their solo work. Harry Styles released an album and this is one of the songs off of it. It’s probably my favorite (though I love them all). Here is a live performance of it.
OST, in case you were curious, stands for Original Soundtrack. And, in this case, the song Cross Country is on the soundtrack for a Korean variety show (kind of like a reality show here in the West, but way more scripted) of the same name. This song is really chill and enjoyable. The women aren’t part of a group, but have come together for this track.
You may have noticed a lack of girl groups on here and for that I apologize. I will try to post more! Twice is a group with the company JYP Entertainment and their songs tend to be catchy and cute. I quite enjoy their music and their MVs are always unique and often fun. Their most recent release is the song Signal and it’s both hilarious and weird.
They are most well known for their song TT. This song is a lot of fun and super cute.
But, I confess, right now my favorite Twice song is Knock Knock. It’s really catchy and the MV is adorable (but also super weird, which is a thing with them). Before, though, you’ll get the chorus stuck in your head.
If you know me as a kpop fan, you know that I like a lot of different groups and I tend to collect new and underrated groups (this almost always leads to heartache, but what are you going to do?). One of these groups is VAV. They’ve been around since 2015, but I only checked them out this year. Their older songs are all right, but their new single is really great! It’s cute, catchy, and the video is fun.
One of my favorite KPOP groups is Monsta X (I’ve briefly mentioned them a few times) and a few weeks ago two of the members, including my favorite (Kihyun) released this great cover of Crush’s song You and I (I shared a Crush song on here before). It is so good, I adore it. I hope you do, too.
Jooheon is the one in the hat and Kihyun is the other. Below is the original version as sung by Crush.
In honor of the late Chris Cornell, here are a couple of videos from his last performance in Detroit this May. RIP, Chris. Your voice was part of the soundtrack to my college and early post college years.
I like Babylon’s music in general and these two videos are really nice, enjoy them!
